The force of this atmosphere
The pressure of forced smiles
Why did I leave that earthly womb
Up here it all ends much too soon

A flooded pathway
Unfeeling landscape

Reluctant survey
The rain that drowned tranquility
The storm that came and drove me

What ends a life?
Defines a death?
Forgotten intersection
Where all roads end
Who decides what it is to be alive

Hearing it slam shut

Uncultivated wild and tangled
Inspiration at the right angle
The breath of life like a promise
We all assumed you'd made

All the things only you could see
The lies we both believed
They are still here
I remember it all
Watching fabric fall
At your curtain call

A bullet in my chest
Now the past lays in unrest
Hindsight after Blindside
Vision’s never been more clear

Missed steps and close calls
